Mechanical Engineer
Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer for projects in commercial and institutional projects. Applicant must have experience with HVAC, heat transfer, utility piping and plumbing systems. Experience with liquid and solid material handling, hydraulics, fire protection, process piping and dust collection is beneficial.
Successful Candidate will:
- Specify mechanical equipment for commercial and institutional projects.
- Interface with Clients, vendors, construction administrators, and project team.
- Design equipment layouts and assist with piping design.
- Be responsible for quality and delivery of construction documentation – specifications, equipment layouts, HVAC design, dust collection design, and piping design.
- Perform and document technical design reviews with other disciplines on the project team to produce the highest level of quality.
- Be familiar with building codes.
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years experience
- Experience with MS Windows based operating systems and applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients and in-house support staff
- Professional Licensure or desire to obtain
- Experience with HVAC, heat transfer, utility piping and plumbing systems
