EAD's Electrical Engineering department offers a full service electrical department staffed by professional engineers. Our design, construction, checkout, and startup experience runs the gamut from light commercial to heavy petrochemical industries. We can engineer a solution from the utility interface down to the medium and low voltage plant distribution - or we can shoehorn a new MCC into an existing facility. Green field or brown, we can deliver. Years of experience as maintenance and commisioning engineers give us valuable life lessons that we integrate into every design. We ask the right questions at the right time and have enough depth to formulate and present the right solution, not just a solution. Our scope definition and design vary with the initial conditions of the project but they generally include the following: Utility interface Infra-structure work in terms of backbone power and data, either underground or in the racks, with emphasis on the present but cognizant of future needs Designation of any special electrical classifications or other areas of concern Review of seismic or other environmental concerns Office and control room design Electrical one-lines Motor Control Center design Motor installation details Lighting design and installation details Electrical equipment schedules Panel Schedules Grounding and lightning protection plans and details Raceway layouts and schedules Control Schematics Supplied equipment interconnection diagrams Data and phone distribution and connection Network installations, ASI, Dnet, FFB, Profibus DP and AP, Seriplex, Ethernet, Modbus, RS232, RS485…fiber optic or copper
We also offer analysis services for existing facilities. These services may be to meet OSHA mandates or to model and analyze a facility for systemic electrical issues or maybe to determine existing load or spare capacity. Our services include site surveys, power quality reports, short circuit/coordination/arc flash evaluations, de-bottlenecking and load share evaluations and more.
